Lower Howard's Creek Quarry Hike

Starting in the 19th century, at least three quarries were used to extract stone for various structures in the area. We’ll visit two on this moderately strenuous hike; there will be rest opportunities. Meet at the Main Entrance (0.7 mile north of Hall’s on the River on Athens-Boonesboro Rd.). Pets are not permitted on state nature preserves. Contact 859- 806-2466 with questions.
