In this presentation\, author Charles Bishop focuses on the first forty years of Kentucky roughly 1760 to 1800. He then covers the establishment of forts\, early settlement patterns\, daily frontier life\, the Revolutionary War's impact on the region\, the broader conflicts across the frontier (including Northern New York\, Western Pennsylvania\, the Ohio Territory\, and Kentucky)\, and Kentucky's path to statehood. After this\, he will close with a brief introduction to his writing. If you would like to join us for the potluck meal\, please bring a dish and arrive at 6:00.
