Artist statement:
"I have been a resident of Winchester, Kentucky for 67 of 69 years, however I have had the fortunate opportunity to travel many places throughout my life. In my travels, I have been inspired by various forms of art. While serving in the U.S. Navy in East Asia, my lifelong pursuit of martial arts began and has lasted for over 40 years. After my time in the Navy, I was a building contractor for 35 years, fascinated by geodesic structures such as the home I built for myself. In addition, the dry laid stone fences and pillars here in my home state led me to pursue a path of being a dry laid stone mason for the past 25 years. My love of the outdoors has always been a main focus in my work. I enjoy using pen and ink background as well as carving and sculpture. Over the past 25 years, I have immersed myself in creating stained glass pieces, from full windows to hanging pieces that catch light. Music and art have impacted my life and I'm glad to share it with others."
